IACS Endowed Chair in Linguistics Selected as ACL Fellow

IACS Endowed Chair in Linguistics Owen Rambow has been named one of eight ACL Fellows for 2022.  The Association for Computational Linguistics established their ACL Fellows program in 2011.  This program recognizes ACL members whose contributions to the field have been most extraordinary with regard to scientific and technical excellence, service to the association and community, and educational/outreach activities with a broad impact.  To be named a Fellow, the candidate must have been a member of the Association for three out of the past five years, and be nominated by a current ACL member.  Dr. Rambow was named a Fellow for his significant contributions to syntax, Tree Adjoining Grammar, dependency processing, natural language generation, and Arabic language processing.
